I’m Ameera Adil, a climate communicator, strategist, and development scientist dedicated to making climate action effective and accessible. With a background in environmental engineering and development studies, I’ve spent the past decade translating complex climate challenges into clear, actionable solutions.

In 2015, I launched Clim-8, an educational platform that used videos, workshops, and lectures to demystify climate science for diverse audiences. Free content is available on our old YouTube. Between 2021 and 2023, I was the Head of Sustainability at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), where I expanded the Office of Sustainability and led a team to develop the university’s Sustainability Strategy 2030 and Net Zero Plan 2030.

During this time, I consulted for UN Women, where I explored the nexus between climate change and the Women, Peace, and Security agenda, conducting research with women in Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan, and presented findings at international conferences. I have also consulted for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (giz) and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) on themes of youth, gender, and climate.

I have spoken extensively on national and international platforms, including the Regional Conference on Advancing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and the 28th Conference of Parties. My TEDx talk entitled “What will it take to change the world?” focused on integrating climate change into educational curricula to empower informed action.

My work is published on various platforms including the Stimson Centre, Centre for Climate and Security, and Strategic Foresight for Asia.

Now, through Climate Foresight, I help organizations amplify their impact by taking meaningful, strategic climate action. I’m also the Co-Chair of Women in Energy Pakistan and actively engaged with key climate networks, including Climate Action Pakistan and Youth Climate Activists Pakistan.
